Okido Yoga

Okido Yoga is playful and challenging

The literal meaning of yoga is combining. Okido Yoga is named after the Japanese master Oki. He combined several kinds of yoga with oriental medicine and martial arts.

Okido Yoga’s main characteristic is the strengthening of your physical centre: Hara. It helps you to get in touch with your life force by means of a mixture of energising and relaxing exercises. Certain exercises are performed in pairs. The aim is to integrate these exercises into your daily life, doing them while you are at work, busy with housework or in your spare time. In this way you will benefit the most from them.

Okido Yoga challenges you to explore your personal boundaries, corrects your natural posture and breathing, improves your figure and makes you strong and supple. We will teach you the best way to use your body in your daily life, during dynamic exercises and when meditating. We will also do exercises to stimulate the internal organs. Each lesson is a little different from the former one.

Everyone can do the exercises at his or her own level. Children’s yoga contains more playful elements: kyoka-ho. Wake up yoga is a bit more intensive because of the many stretching and breathing exercises. Posture and breathing meditation is less intensive. The Dance and Yoga lesson is accompanied by music.
